Investigroup NP Nonprofit Corporation

Introduction of the Organization

Investigroup NP is service oriented and always looking to help the community in various methods, as well as, helping underprivileged countries to improve health care. The trustees of this organization were given the opportunity to help hospitals in Ghana with their medical supply needs. During a trip to Ghana, in December of 2005, Investigroup NP helped supervise polio immunizations during the countries National Immunization Days. We are committed to send medical supplies to the hospitals of Ghana to help out in their quest to fight diseases in the country. In addition to the Polio Project, there are several additional medical challenges; TB, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Measles, malnutrition, and waterborne diseases facing the country that the provision of medical supplies and equipment will help alleviate.

Investigroup has partnered with the Ministry of Health, as well as, other governmental and non-governmental agencies including DANIDA and WHO to monitor the progress of the health status of the country through the supply of adequate health care equipment. Investigroup is currently working with Ghana's most advanced hospitals, Korle-Bu located in the capital city of Accra, and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi. Over the last decade, Ghana has consistently spent about 10 percent of its national budget on health (Sources: World Bank health sector assessment, Swishweb, Info-Ghana).

Investigroup NP is comprised of a dedicated Board of Trustees. The trustees include: Laura Steelquist, Vivian Munene, Dr. John Steelquist, Dr. Charles Steilen, and Owusu Kizito.
